You are also an expert in your own Health
I want you to know something.
You are also an expert in your own health.
Yes, there are many experts in the world.
Dentists are experts in oral health.
Physiotherapists are experts in movement and rehabilitation.
Obstetricians are experts in women's reproductive health.
Accountants are experts in managing financial data.
Personal trainers are experts in exercise and strength.
Health practitioners spend years studying the incredible complexity of the human body.
But there is one thing none of us can become an expert in.
You.
Because you are the person who lives in your body every single day.
You are the one who notices what gives you energy.
What drains you.
What feels like peace.
What feels like pressure.
You know what it feels like to wake refreshed.
You know when something simply doesn't feel right.
You know the subtle changes that no blood test or scan can always explain.
That doesn't mean we should ignore professional advice.
Far from it.
Knowledge is incredibly valuable.
I've spent years studying nutrition, health and wellbeing. I've completed multiple qualifications, worked with hundreds of clients, and continue learning every day.
But one thing I know for certain is this:
I don't know your body better than you do.
I may bring knowledge.
I may ask thoughtful questions.
I may notice patterns.
I may offer ideas or possibilities that you hadn't considered.
But my role isn't to tell you who you are.
My role is to help you hear yourself again.
We live in a world overflowing with advice.
Some of it is incredibly helpful.
Some of it is confusing.
Much of it contradicts itself.
One person tells us to eat one way.
Another tells us the complete opposite.
One practitioner recommends a supplement.
Another suggests avoiding it altogether.
It's no wonder so many women end up feeling disconnected from themselves, constantly wondering who they should listen to.
I believe there is enormous value in learning from others.
I certainly have.
But I also believe there comes a point where we gently turn our attention inward.
We slow down.
We become curious.
We begin asking our own body what it needs.
We start noticing how different foods make us feel.
How our energy changes.
What brings us peace.
What leaves us depleted.
We begin trusting the quiet wisdom that has been there all along.
Perhaps true health isn't about finding someone with all the answers.
Perhaps it's about finding someone who helps you ask better questions.
Someone who gently reminds you that your voice matters too.
Because perhaps the greatest expert in your health...
has been living in your body all this time.
