Do you sneak it in?

Do you sneak it in? I sneak organic veges in whenever I can. I grate carrot, zucchini and very finely sliced mushrooms into nearly everything I make. I have become pretty stealth at finely slicing green leafy vegetables and hiding them everything. Sometimes my children are on to me and sometimes I get away with it. I treat it kind of like a game. I have been planning this blog post for a while and have been pondering how much I sneak veges into our life. I love that I am getting more vegetables into my children but as I have thought about it the last couple of weeks I have realised the person that I have been sneaking them into the most is myself!!!

Turn back 10 years or so and I was not the organic vegetable loving creature I am today. I was a buy a broccoli at the supermarket, serve a little bit on the side of a few meals a week, because my Mum always told be I should eat my greens kind of girl. I think we can train our tastebuds to like different foods, much like with children, we need to offer it to ourselves in a variety of different ways and sneak it into as many foods as we can until we start to like it. I can honestly say when I look at seasonal veggies now I think yum. I have been sneaking them into my meals` for a while now and my tastebuds have finally caught up with me. This week I snuck sprouts, cashews, avocado and kale into my smoothie. The kids didn't fall for it but I did!!! I will have to think of some other stealth like sprout mission for the kids this week, but most importantly plan what veggies I would benefit from sneaking into my own diet.
Have a sneaky week ;)
